Wednesday, January 11, 2012 13:06 Company 3 was dispatched to Stover Rd. and Millmont Rd. for a reported auto accident. Upon arrival units found a tractor trailer clipped the front end of an SUV. Company 3 assisted with EMS. Company 3 was available at 13:48. Saturday, January 7, 2012 At 02:16 Company 3 was dispatched to an address on State Route 235 for a reported auto accident. Engine 3-3 arrived on scene and found one vehicle down an embankment with 2 victims ejected one being a signal 50, and one patient confined in the vehicle. Crews assisted EMS and set up 2 landing zones for Geisinger Life Flight 1 and 5. Company 3 was on scene for approximately 3 hours and placed in service at 05:04. Units Responding: 301, 302, 303, 304 Apparatus: Engine 3-3, Rescue 3-1, Engine 3-1, MICU 14, Amb. 14-2, Medic 60, Geisinger Life Flight 1 from Danville, and 5 from Minersville, Pennsylvania State Police. Saturday, January 7, 2012 At 17:15 Company 3 was dispatched to an address on Mountain Rd. for a rescue assignment of reports of a tractor rollover. Company 3 arrived on scene and found one victim trapped under the tractor and was a confirmed signal 50. Crews assisted with body removal. Company 3 was on scene for approximately 2.5 hours and was available at 19:47. Monday, December 12, 2011 At 17:53 Company 3 was dispatched to an address on Patty Mountain Rd. Hartley Twp. for a reported house fire. Engine 3-3 first on scene reported initial reports of confirmed fire with fire through the windows. Crews pulled hand lines off of Engine 3-3 and extinguished the fire before it could spread further. Company 3 was on scene for approximately 1.5 hours. Friday, November 18, 2011 At 18:04 Company 3 was dispatched to an address on Johnson Mill Rd. for a reported automatic fire alarm. Chief 303 and 302 arrived on scene and proceeded to bring engine 3-2 in at a reduced rate, and place the remainder of the box available. Engine crew investigated and nothing was found. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 At 18:25 Company 3 was dispatched to the intersection of Johnson Mill Rd. and Buffalo Rd. for a reported auto accident. Company 3 units controlled fluids and secured the vehicle. Monday, November 14, 2011 At 16:05 Company 3 was dispatched to an address on Buffalo Creek Rd. for a reported combine fire. Crews arrived on scene and found a combine in the middle of a corn field well involved with the majority of fire in the engine compartment. Engine 3-1 used an 13/4” hand line to extinguish the fire in the combine and the surrounding corn field. Tanker 3-1 supplied Engine 3-1 from approximately 100 yds. away. Company 3 was on scene for approximately 1 hour. Units Responding: 301, 304 Apparatus: Engine 3-1, Tanker 3-1, Rescue 3-1, MICU 14 Personnel: 16 members from Company 3 Command: 301 Operations: 304
Sunday, November 13, 2011 At 10:47 Company 3 was dispatched to the area of Hickernel Spring on Route 45 for a reported vehicle accident with intial reports of a milk truck roll over with injuries. Chief 303 arrived on scene and found one milk truck on its side with entrapment and a possible signal 50 (DOA). MICU 14 arrived on scene and confirmed the signal 50. Rescue 3-1, and Engine 3-3 crews controlled Hazardous Materials coming from the truck and contained them so they didn’t contaminate a local stream. After the PSP investigation, the vehicle was rolled over and the body was extricated. Company 3 was on scene for approximately 4.5 hours. Monday, October 17, 2011 Company 3 was dispatched to the intersection of Route 45 and Johnson Mill Rd. for a reported auto accident. Arriving crews found a car vs. farm impliment, with the farm impliment overturned. Crews utilized the winch on Rescue 3-1 to roll over the impliment.
